I enjoyed embroidering the towels shown here. To get the thread effect I used 1 strand of blue and one of purple (using a variety of combinations). I also stacked french knots to give the bikini top the appearance of dimension. I just finished a set of mauve pillowcases and added a fabric band on bottom that has the mermaid tail for a print. They really turned out cute. I have 3-5 great nieces I will make these for....they are all aged 3 to 5 and are really into mermaids!
