Fluffing Instructions:
- Open Carefully: Remove the insert from its packaging and carefully cut open the plastic wrap.
- Shake Vigorously: Vigorously shake the pillow insert to help separate the fibers.
- Massage and Plump: Massage the insert with your hands, focusing on the edges and corners, to break up any compressed areas.
- Give it Time: Allow the insert to sit for 24-48 hours to fully expand to its intended size and shape.
- Optional: Tumble Dry: For faster fluffing, tumble dry on a low heat setting for 15-20 minutes, adding a couple of clean tennis balls to help fluff the filling.
- Final Fluff: Give it a final fluff by hand before inserting it into your pillow cover.
Sizing Guide:
- When ordering a pillow insert, choose one that is 1-2 inches larger than your pillow cover to ensure well-filled corners, except when using Aunt Martha's® brand pillow covers.
- Aunt Martha's® pillow covers are made from 100% cotton and may slightly shrink after washing.
- For an 18"x18" Aunt Martha's® pillow cover or any pillow cover made from 100% cotton, we recommend using an 18"x18" insert for the best fit.
- For other 18"x18" size pillow covers made from a non-shrinking material, use a 20"x20" insert.
